InformationBodyAdding an International Payee You’ll need to add an international payee before you can send them a payment. These steps are for adding an international payee on the desktop or mobile browser version of the Bluevine dashboard. However, international payees can be added using the Bluevine mobile app. For information on navigating the Bluevine mobile app, visit our article on iOS and Android. Follow these steps if using a desktop or mobile browser: Sign in to your Bluevine dashboard Navigate to Payments then Payees on the left-hand menu Click Add payee Select + Add payee Enter your payee’s name and select if they are a person or business Select the country and enter your payee’s address Select which currencies the payee will receive It is required to select at least one currency, but you can select multiple options if available. You can choose which currency your payee receives when you send them a payment. Enter your payee’s bank details Enter any optional information and Click Save You may be required to provide additional information about your business before your payment can be sent. You’ll receive a prompt to View tasks after adding your payee, or you can access them by selecting the bell icon in the upper right-hand corner of your dashboard. Sign in to your Bluevine dashboard Navigate to Checking on the left-hand menu Select Send payment Navigate to Home, Checking, or Scheduled Payments on the left-hand menu to find the Send payment option Search for your saved international payee and select them Enter the payment amount and select which currency for your payee to receive The conversion rate, as well as fees, are displayed below the “Amount” and “You send” fields International payment fees will be based on your plan type or as otherwise shown on the Send Payment page Bluevine uses market rate foreign exchange rates provided by its third-party international payment provider when calculating the currency exchange Select which account you’d like to pay from on the pay from the drop-down menu Note: You can select from your Bluevine Business Checking account or any active sub-accounts Select Next Verify the information looks correct and click Send payment Payments are sent out daily between 8am–5pm ET, Monday–Friday. Any payments sent outside that window will be processed the following business day. The estimated arrival date of your payment is displayed when sending your payment. Once your payment has been sent, you can view more details about it, including the payment status, by clicking on the transaction located in the Checking tab of your dashboard. Note: A national holiday in the receiving country could delay funds. Frequently Asked Questions Can I receive an incoming international wire to my Bluevine account? Can I schedule an international payment for a later date or on a scheduled frequency? At this time, we only support sending one-time international payments. In the future, we plan on supporting recurring and scheduled payments. How does Bluevine calculate the exchange rate? Bluevine uses market rate foreign exchange rates provided by its third-party international payment provider when calculating the currency exchange, and we charge no additional fees for showing the rate. This exchange rate will be displayed to you at the time of your payment.Note: If you’re sending a payment after the 8am–5pm ET Monday–Friday cut off time, or you’re an Authorized User sending a payment for approval, you’ll see a message informing you that the exchange rate may vary at the time the payment is sent on the confirmation screen. How long does it take for my payee to receive my payment? The transfer speed for international payments varies depending on the country and currency we are delivering. An estimated arrival date will be displayed when sending your payment, and you can conveniently track the payment through your dashboard and mobile app. We send international payments out between 8am–5pm ET Monday-Friday.You can view transaction details for your payments by clicking on them from the Checking tab of your dashboard on your web browser. Alternatively, from your Bluevine mobile app home page, select an account under the Checking section, then select the transaction for which you want to view transaction details. 1. The only eligible funding method for international payments is Bluevine Business Checking accounts. Payments are sent out from 8am 5pm ET every business day. Timing may vary based on recipient bank and country, and whether payment is sent during business hours. International payments are available to most businesses, subject to eligibility determined by Bluevine.
