From your Bluevine dashboard, you have the ability to configure custom ACH debit settings and permissions both on the account level and by payee, giving you more control over how and when your accounts are debited. Account-level ACH fraud controls Account-level ACH controls allow you to designate how each account/sub-account handles ACH debits generally (allow/block) or set ACH amount limits that trigger your review (monitor): Allow: All ACH debits are paid unless the payee is on your blocked list or the account doesn’t have enough funds.Block: All ACH debits are automatically returned unless you’ve specifically pre-authorized that payee and dollar limit.Monitor: Available to Bluevine Premier customers, set dollar-amount triggers for ACH debits to be raised for your review, and rules for how to handle it if you don't take action. How to view account-level ACH fraud controls You can locate your ACH fraud controls settings by following the steps below: Sign in to your Bluevine dashboard via desktop or mobile browser.1 Select the settings icon in the upper right-hand corner. In Settings, select the Checking tab. Select ACH fraud controls to expand the section. How to configure account-level ACH fraud controls Follow the steps below to change how ACH debits are handled by account/sub-account: Sign in to your Bluevine dashboard via desktop or mobile browser.1 Navigate to Settings > Checking > ACH fraud controls. Select the Accounts tab to display a list of your active accounts. Select the vertical ellipsis icon (⋮) next to the account you would like to manage and click View/Edit. Review the available options and select the appropriate setting: Allow, Block, or Monitor. If selecting Monitor, you’ll be prompted to enter a dollar amount that will trigger an ACH debit for your review. You can also designate how we handle review-triggered ACH debits when we don’t hear back from you. Click Continue to apply your new settings. A pop-up screen will appear to confirm the action. Select Done to return to Settings. Payee-level ACH controls In addition to account-level settings for ACH debits, you can block and pre-authorize ACH transactions by the individual payee. Payee-level ACH controls bypass the account’s configured setting when applicable. For example, if you block ACH debits on a sub-account, any pre-authorized payees will still be able to debit the account for the amount allowed, if specified. Conversely, any blocked payees will not be able to debit the account, even if ACH debits are allowed by default. How to block a payee To block a payee, they must have debited any of your account/sub-account(s) at least once. (If the debit was unauthorized, please contact us for assistance disputing the transaction and securing your account.) Blocking a payee will block any future ACH debit attempts from this payee across all account/sub-account(s). Follow the steps below to block a payee from initiating ACH debits: Sign in to your Bluevine dashboard via desktop or mobile browser.1 Select the Checking tab. Locate and select the transaction from the payee you would like to manage to open the Transaction details panel. Under the Quick actions section, select Block future debits. On the pop-up screen, select Confirm to block the payee or Back to cancel the action. Select Done to return to the transactions ledger or Manage account blocks to navigate to your ACH fraud control settings. An email confirmation will be sent to the account Administrator and any Authorized Users. When a payee has been blocked, you can select a corresponding transaction from the Checking transactions ledger to open the Transaction details panel. Within this panel, a note containing information about the ACH debit block will be visible, along with a link to your ACH fraud controls settings. How to view and manage payee-level ACH controls Follow the steps below to view and manage blocked and preauthorized payees: Sign in to your Bluevine dashboard via desktop or mobile browser.1 Navigate to Settings > Checking > ACH fraud controls. Select the Payees tab to display a list of payees with custom permissions. The status indicator adjacent to each payee will indicate if the payee has been blocked or preauthorized. To manage a payee’s setting, select the vertical ellipsis icon (⋮) next to the payee you would like to manage and select the appropriate action. On the pop-up screen, select Confirm to complete the action or Back to cancel. An email confirmation will be sent to the account Administrator and any Authorized Users. How to preauthorize payees Bluevine Plus and Premier plan customers can preauthorize individual payees to bypass account-level ACH blocks. (To preauthorize a payee, ACH debits must be blocked on at least one account/sub-account.) You can set multiple controls for each payee. These controls include the ability to: Select which account/sub-account(s) with ACH debits blocked you would like the payee to debit from Set a maximum debit limit that the payee can debit at once (optional) Follow the steps below to set up and manage payee preauthorization: Sign in to your Bluevine dashboard via desktop or mobile browser.1 Navigate to Settings > Checking > ACH fraud controls. Select the Payees tab. Click the Preauthorize payee button. Fill out the form with the payee’s details and preauthorization settings. Note: The Payee ID, also referred to as the ACH Company ID, can be found in the following ways: If the payee has previously debited the account via ACH, the Payee ID can be located on the transactions ledger within the Checking page.
