InformationBodyFeature Overview: Custom fields let you personalize invoices and estimates by adding up to three unique details like PO numbers, project codes, or tax IDs. Just add a field name and value, and it will be added to your form. Who can use Invoice and Estimate Custom fields? Plus and Premier Plan customers: Full access to three custom fields. Standard Plan customers: No access to custom fields. To learn more about plans and pricing, go here. How to Add Custom Fields to an Invoice or Estimate Choose if you are sending an invoice or estimate: For Invoices: Go to Sales > Invoices. For Estimates: Go to Sales > Estimates. Start a new invoice or estimate, or open a draft. Scroll to the Custom Fields section near the bottom of the form. Select Add a custom field. Enter a field name (e.g., “PO Number”). Limit: 20 characters Enter a field value (e.g., “PO-12345”). Limit: 30 characters Once both name and value are entered, the option to Add a custom field will become available again. Repeat to add up to three total custom fields. How to delete a custom field from an Invoice or Estimate Note: Custom fields can only be removed from invoices in Draft status. Find the form that needs to be updated: For Invoices: Go to Sales > Invoices. For Estimates: Go to Sales > Estimates. Open draft invoice. Select the X icon next to the custom field you want to remove. Custom field has been removed. Edit as needed and save form. Helpful Tips You must fill in both the name and value before saving. If you’ve used custom fields before, typing a name will show saved field suggestions. Select from the list or create a new one. Custom fields appear on your invoice or estimate PDF and within the invoice or estimate link your client sees. Custom fields are not saved in global invoice or estimate settings, or by the customer yet. This feature is not available on mobile yet.
