When applying for PPP through BlueVine, you’ll have the option to input your demographic information. The U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) requires this information be requested for reporting purposes only. The SBA’s explanation for requesting demographic information can be found in the First Draw and Second Draw application. It’s important to note that providing this information is voluntary and will have no bearing on the loan decision. If you’re not comfortable providing this information, you’re not obligated to do so.
You may also refer to the SBA’s statement that states, “SBA is committed to ensuring that any release of PPP loan data does not harm small businesses or their employees.”
