Account Access gives you a secure and easy way to give trusted people access to your Bluevine account so you can share the work and focus on growing your business.1
How Account Access Can Support Your Business
- Scale your business. Share access with your co-owner, delegate responsibilities to a trusted employee with significant financial authority, or provide your accountant or bookkeeper with access to account information.
- Protect your account. You control access, can remove it at any time, and have peace of mind knowing your personal account details are secure.
User Types & Permissions
Administrator - The Administrator is the primary individual who created the Bluevine account. They have full permission to all account actions and are responsible for adding and maintaining any Additional Users.
Additional Users Types
- Authorized User(s) - Authorized User(s) can only be initiated and invited by the Administrator. Authorized Users have their own account permissions which are dictated by the Account Owner, but permissions can be removed or changed by the Administrator at any time. Authorized Users have their own dedicated login credentials, so the Administrator’s login information and personal account details remain secure.
- Accountant - This role is a type of Additional User, designed specifically for your business’s accountant or bookkeeper. An Accountant may only be initiated and invited by the Administrator and will have its own dedicated login credentials. The Accountant will have more limited permissions than the Administrator and Authorized User. Please note, the Accountant role will be implemented in phases, beginning with our beta stage, which is not available to all account holders. As a result, your Bluevine account may not include this feature until it is rolled out to all users. We appreciate your understanding and patience as our teams work to ensure this feature meets your needs and expectations. If you would like to request to be a part of the beta, please send us a message using the Contact Us form with the subject line of “Account Access Interest”.

Multi-Company Sign In and Navigation
If the Additional User is already registered with Bluevine and has access to one or more companies, they will be able to select which company they would like to access when they sign-in. See image below:
The Additional User can toggle between the Bluevine accounts they have access to through the dashboard by selecting Switch in the left hand corner.
1: The Account Owner may add Additional Users to their account using the Account Access feature. The Account Owner is responsible for all authorized transactions initiated and fees incurred by use of the Account. If an individual (including but not limited to Authorized User(s)) is permitted access to the account, account number(s), or PIN, Bluevine will treat this as if the Account Owner has authorized such use and the Customer will be liable for all transactions and fees incurred by such person(s). The Account Owner is wholly responsible for the use of Account according to the terms and conditions of the Bluevine Business Checking Account Agreement. Bluevine is not responsible for any action taken by any Additional User and the Account Owner agrees to indemnify Bluevine in connection with any action taken by any Additional User. The Account Owner is responsible for terminating any Additional User's access using the Account Access feature. Bluevine may continue to recognize an Additional User's authority until Bluevine has received and has had a reasonable time to act upon and process an access termination request from the Account Owner. See the Bluevine Business Checking Account Agreement for more information.
2: This chart provides a full overview of Additional User permissions. The Account Owner column is provided for comparison purposes only and there may be additional Account Owner only permissions not listed here.
3: This feature is only available on the desktop version of the Bluevine Dashboard and not the Bluevine mobile app.
4: If you do not have access to the Account Access tab within Profile & Settings, this feature is not yet available for you.
