Sole Proprietorship
Which document do I need to upload?
If you have an Employee Identification Number (EIN), please upload your EIN confirmation letter from the IRS. This is the computer-generated notice that was issued by the IRS when you applied for your EIN. This notice is issued as a confirmation of your application for, and receipt of an EIN. If you are unable to locate this, please contact the IRS for a copy.
If you do not have an Employee Identification Number (EIN), please upload a Business Name Registration Certificate. This may be your Fictitious Business Name, Trade Name, Assumed Business Name, Assumed Name, or DBA certificate. These are often issued by county clerk or recorder offices.
Please be sure that any document includes the applicants name as the business owner.

- Upload the correct documents. Make sure that you upload the correct document for your business entity type.
- Upload clear documents. Ensure that your uploaded document is not blurry. Downloaded or scanned documents are much easier to process than photos of documents. If the document is illegible or blurry, it may cause delays or you may be required to re-submit the document.
